About Love Bug

Love Bug is an independent national initiative, operated by Care Health Systems, intended to improve sexual health awareness, to encourage sexually active men and women under 25 years of age to screen for infections and to help reduce the prevalence and transmission of sexual infections.


The Love Bug website is a great place to find out about chlamydia and other sexually transmitted infections. You can find your nearest screening centre, order a self-test kit, and in some cases you can get your results online. It also provides links to websites for the government’s national and regional screening programmes:
